2022 Jewelry Trends We Love
by Vard Movsisyan
We’re tired (and bored!) of 2021 minimalism–and excited to see a contemporary spin on the classic fine-jewelry pieces.

  • Technicolor
Let’s start with these bright hues. We love to see more semi-precious stones–from gorgeous emeralds to bold rubies–embellishing fingers, lobes and necks. When wearing a classic or minimalist outfit, there’s no better way to spice things up than by adding some fun, big color with your jewelry choices.

Pro tip: Conduct color analysis with a professional to make sure you choose colors that work with your skin tone and compliment your features.

  • Maximalism:

Let’s get into it: more is definitely more! Why wear just a watch when you can stack chunky and/or thin bracelets alongside it, too? Why wear one dainty necklace when you can layer pendants and chains to create a fun, exciting look? Utilize all of your piercings–or wear a cuff–to maximize the jewelry on your ears. The best part? There’s no right way to do it!

Pro tip: Pick one statement piece (i.e. your favorite pendant), and work in other pieces around it to help compliment that piece–and work with Vard to figure out if silver or gold is the metal for you.

Here's some staples for stacking:

  • The Gold Chain, Reimagined:

Elevate your classic gold chain to something distinctly modern. Maybe the chain incorporates links studded with diamonds and semi-precious stones, or maybe it’s oversized, with neon-bright enamel clasps decorated with protective symbols–regardless, an updated chain will be your favorite jewelry staple this year.

Pro tip: Depending on how bold your statement chain is, consider letting it shine by wearing simple, basic tops like a white t-shirt or an oversized blazer.

  • Watch out for these watches!

Timelessness doesn’t always equate to simplicity–some pieces are simply stunning in their maximalism, and some are instantly recognizable in their eternal chic-ness. Watches that incorporate big, loud colors–or even just a glimpse of hue–on either the wristband or the face, itself, add an elevation of distinctness to any outfit.

Pro tip: For the sake of style & sustainability, go for a watch that has a changeable band–that way, you don’t have to have a different piece for every outfit.
